Do I need special hardware to use AsteroidPOS?

No! AsteroidPOS runs in any modern web browser. Use it on a tablet, laptop, desktop, or dedicated POS terminal. We support optional hardware like receipt printers, barcode scanners, and cash drawers via USB or Bluetooth.

How does payment processing work?

We use Stripe for all payment processing — the same platform trusted by millions of businesses. Accept credit cards, debit cards, Apple Pay, Google Pay, and more. Stripe's standard processing fees apply (2.9% + 30 cents per transaction). We don't add any additional markup.

Can I import my existing product catalog?

Yes! You can import products via CSV upload with support for names, descriptions, prices, SKUs, categories, and images. We also provide a bulk editor for making changes to many products at once.

Is there a contract or long-term commitment?

No contracts, no commitments. All plans are month-to-month and you can cancel anytime. We also offer annual billing with a 20% discount if you prefer to save.

What happens to my data if I cancel?

Your data is yours. Before cancellation, you can export all your data including products, transactions, customer records, and reports. After cancellation, we retain your data for 30 days in case you change your mind, then securely delete it.

Does AsteroidPOS work offline?

AsteroidPOS is a cloud-based system that requires an internet connection for full functionality. However, we're building offline mode support that will allow you to continue processing cash transactions during internet outages, with automatic sync when connectivity is restored.

How many users can I add to my account?

All plans include unlimited user accounts. You can add as many employees, managers, and administrators as you need. Each user gets their own login with role-based permissions that you control.
